Guruji has often encouraged us to watch good movies and read literature to understand the play of human emotions and the nuances and grandeur of facets of life. Ms. Vidya Vishwamitra shared her point of view on a movie called Contact starring Jodie Foster. The protagonist, an astronaut and a staunch atheist, loses out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have an intergalactic space journey through a wormhole into another earth. While this happens due to reasons beyond her control an interesting turn of events puts her back on the driver’s seat. Vidya appreciated that a strange higher power helps the protagonist in her endeavours simply because she was highly motivated and aspired strongly.

“That is a good observation. If we have a strong intent the Universe will help us achieve anything. I have always said that we must put passion behind whatever we do. It could be something menial like cleaning your room, organizing your bookshelf to a doing something sacred like Meditations. It is also valid when you talk to anyone; be in the conversation a hundred percent without faking. You must mean what you say. When you try to establish contact with the Light Masters or God you must be in the communication entirely.”

Those who work closely with Guruji have seen this firsthand. If anyone enters his study room when he is at his work desk writing something or answering an email, he will not notice until you call out for him. This happens even when he is talking to someone. He is so intensely involved with whatever he is attending to in the moment, he is in it wholeheartedly.

“Passion drives creativity and that is why artists are very intense people. I have seen paintings by some current artists; to me it looks like a design not art. Van Gogh’s paintings are a work of absolute creativity. When he painted even a simple chair it looked alive.”

Guruji’s face lights up when he talks about painting and art, every cell in his body comes alive. There is a restless artist in him which the Guru in him keeps at bay. We can feel the intensity of his passion for painting. He has collectible books of paintings by Monte, Renoir, Picasso, Rembrandt and his all time favorite – Vincent Van Gogh.

“Anyways, coming back to the point, there must be passion behind everything you do; you will enjoy and also succeed.” In the tone of his voice we could feel the Guru contain the artist.

“Guruji, my next point is – I feel that everything is right here, except that it is in different frequencies.” What she said emanated from the core of her personal experience; it was not a dry intellectual point from a book on Spirituality.

“Absolutely. Three days ago I received lot of information on this; someday I will gradually share it with all of you.” Pointing to the space in front of him he said, “Yes, everything is here but in different frequencies,” and encouraged her to explore more, “Go on contemplating in this.”

A meditator from Mumbai wanted to know more about shields. “When I meditate I lose track of the time I spend in Shield strengthening. I am a bit concerned about this. I meet people who are not exactly positive.”

“Do not worry, you are practicing fine. Even when you are surrounded by people who are negative the shield does not get damaged. Problems can happen only when you carry strong negativities in you. Extreme anger, hatred, jealously, etc can damage the energy shield.”

Continuing on the point of shield Ms. Rama wanted to know if the shield is outside or inside the aura; to which Guruji replied that it is outside.

She had a serious concern about a Pranic healing session she had undergone. “Recently, I tried Pranic healing and after the process started I became alert to the fact that I was allowing another person to access my aura. I wanted to know if it was safe and whether my energy shield protected me.”

“It is difficult to say off-hand just like that; a lot depends on the healer. But I can tell you this, I have come across cases wherein the healer enters the patient’s personality and drains out energy.”

“I was feeling quite okay after the session; just that caution bells rang in my head as it started…..”

“…..once having started there is no point in over-thinking. People go to astrologers for consultation, which is fine by me, but later they come and ask me if the predictions and remedies are right. What can I say; if you put your faith in someone have the courage to follow it through.”

A sweet voice laden with innocence cooed into the microphone, a lot of personal courage seemed to have gone into putting the words together.

“…..Guruji….Kavita here….Guruji, you had mentioned once….that we all meet you either once in fifty-one thousand years or in every lifetime….”

“Not all lifetimes necessarily but we do meet again. We need not…”

“….what if we want to…”

“….if you seriously wish then we can meet. I mean it.”

“Can I pray to you that in my next life I should be born as your daughter?”

“You can pray, however let me guarantee you that biological familial relationships are not required to be close to me. I have so many students, I cannot spend time with every one as it is not feasible but who here does not feel close to me. On a lighter note there are many who have requested to be born as my son or daughter, so I will have to raise a large family!”

“Also Guruji, whenever I feel like I just look at your photo or think of you and I pour my heart out. Will you be able to hear that?”

“I have answered this many times before, let me do it again. At the physical level I will not know about it; sometimes very rarely when people try to communicate with me intensely I might think about them. But at the deeper level I will know about everything, every detail and from that level I answer your questions, attend to your problems in my own way. Your communication reaches me at a deeper level.”

Mr. Sanjaya Vishwamitra wanted to know if practising Pranayama once before we practise Shambala Meditations and Stage Meditation is enough. Guruji explained that even when we practise two sets of Meditational techniques back to back, doing Pranayama once is enough.

He also wanted to understand the function of the silver cord and whether it is different for meditators and non-meditators.

Guruji said, “We have explained in the book – Descent of Soul – when we came down to earth for the first time our Astral bodies did not have enough weight so the earth’s gravity could not pull us down. To add some weight the silver cord was attached. Besides this the cord is the real connection between the physical body and the Astral body. There are many other functions which we are yet to explore. Also, it is the same for everyone.”

Sanjaya’s next question was quite interesting. “We begin Meditations with prayers to the Rishis and God. We invoke the Rishis and deities. I was thinking of the goddesses Devi, Mahalakshmi and Saraswati when it struck me that we know of Mahalakshmi as the goddess of wealth, so has she also blessed those who hoard black money?”

Barely containing his laughter Guruji said, “I do not know I have to ask her. Goddess Mahalakshmi carries the energies of abundance not just material wealth. Abundance applies to love, health, etc. We usually associate goddess Saraswati with knowledge but Mahalakshmi also carries abundance of knowledge. She can help us attain Vairagya or detachment. We do not know much about the gods and goddesses. Mythology has twisted many facts.

“Interestingly, if you pray to Saraswati for money she will bless as well. So compartmentalizing deities into benefits is ignorance. We can pray to any deity and ask for anything. Lord Ganesha can bless us with both knowledge and wealth. All the different gods and goddesses are from the same source – God. If you read the ancient Sanskrit obeisance and hymns you will notice that almost the same things are expressed and appreciated about every deity; the adulations are the same, each is likened to Parabrahma. That is because every god and goddess comes from the same Source.

“You may pray to any god for anything and they will bless. Our ancestors have over-simplified this matter. Lord Shiva - the god of destruction – can grant us a life extension. Mahavishnu has lot of knowledge.

“People try to appease the deities with homas, Shanti rituals, diamond studded crowns and golden thrones offerings to temples. One can appease humans and lower entities not gods. Spirituality is about being simple, good and honest; it is about being aligned to God.”

Mr. Karthik N. had a series of well-prepared questions, “You had mentioned that in this physical level we get flashes from past or future. Is it from the Astral level that we get these?”

“Sometimes a Rishi might want to communicate something to you which might appear to you as a flash. Sometimes your past is revealed; a Rishi might pick it up from your own mind or from another source, which again surfaces as a flash. Each time this happens we have to understand it as an individual case. We can also understand the source from which the knowledge was received.”

“My next question is about the Astral world. We live in this physical plane so that we can experience the beauty and diversity here; since we also exist at the Astral level, what is the purpose there?”

“The purpose there is again to experience. There is life in the Astral planes also. We came to the Astral world first then to the physical, so what we experience here would have been experienced there as well.”

“Is there a past and future there as well?”

“Yes, there is.”

“Guruji, you just mentioned how alive the paintings of Van Gogh are, I was wondering, what makes some paintings or sculptures so alive. Sometimes they seem to be waiting to be animated. What is so special about them?”

“The paintings carry the energies of the emotions felt by the artist; his passion also gets captured. That makes all the difference.”

“And does it draw more energies from different sources to make others feel?”

“No. They don’t draw, they only carry the energies.”

“I wanted to understand why impurities exist in us when we have so many energies like the Ra Energies, Shambala Energies, etc. What is the purification process that happens at the levels of body, mind and intellect?”

“We continue to have impurities in us despite such rare Energies because we allow them. We allow negative thoughts and emotions. The Energies purify us during Meditations, later we generate more impurities. Most are struggling to permanently remove this recurrence. It is possible, it takes effort.”

“When we have physical ailments does is happen due to impurities in the mind like anger, jealousy, etc.?”

“You can say that. Impurities, mainly, exist in the mind. These impurities get manifested as some kind of sickness in the body. It is mostly the mind which captures and carries these impurities.”

The session ended with a moment of silence and thanksgiving.
